Which Philippine consulate serves Boston
Jurisdiction runs by state, and Massachusetts, all of it, is assigned to New York. Before you plan the trip from Boston
The most common wasted journey in this system is for a document the consulate cannot produce. There are three of them:
- PSA certificates: the Philippine Statistics Authority prints them, not the consulate. You order them on the web and they arrive by courier.
- Apostilles on American documents come from the issuing state’s competent authority. Since 15 May 2019 the consulate cannot authenticate them.
- The NBI clearance is issued in the Philippines. The consulate’s only part is notarising your fingerprint card.
The counter is unavoidable for exactly three things: passport biometrics, the RA 9225 oath and signing a notarial document in front of an officer. Everything else deserves a second look before you drive.
